Error: No default set for lastName
    at Error (native)
    at schema-validator/dist/lib/index.js:65:17

Thinking generically, beyond our specific app needs... Do we always have to define a default, instead could we default to undefined if there's no default value defined? Or even better could we just not set a key if there's no default?
