Can't create EPIC in one go because of custom field

I'm trying to create a Jira EPIC but it fails. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I first tried to create it like this:

❯ jira issue create -pCLI -tEpic -s "Test automated EPIC" --no-input

Error:
  - customfield_12191: Epic Name is required.

jira: Received unexpected response '400 '.
Please check the parameters you supplied and try again.

Ok. I checked the help text and I need to pass --custom, which I've done below:

❯ jira issue create -pCLI -tEpic -s "Test automated EPIC" --custom customfield_12191="Test automated EPIC name" --no-input

Some custom fields are not configured and will be ignored. This will fail with error in the future release.
Please make sure that the passed custom fields are valid and configured accordingly in the config file.
Invalid custom fields used in the command: customfield_12191

Error:
  - customfield_12191: Epic Name is required.

Please check the parameters you supplied and try again.

Ok, it seems maybe it needs the = after all.

❯ jira issue create -pCLI -tEpic -s "Test automated EPIC" --custom=customfield_12191="Test automated EPIC name" --no-input

Nope. IDK what I'm supposed to do. Thoughts?

Hi @anavarre, you can use --name to pass epic name. Is it not working?

$ jira epic create -h
Create an epic in a given project with minimal information.

USAGE
  jira epic create [flags]

FLAGS
  -n, --name string               Epic name
...

$ jira epic create -n "Epic Name" -pCLI -tEpic -s "Test automated EPIC" --no-input

That parameter is not documented so I had not tried it. But even with passing it I'm running into errors. See below:

I'm using this particular version BTW

Just noticed that you are using jira issue create. It should be jira epic create for epics.
