Instructions

Memespector-GUI has no installer. Just download the zip file for your operating system. Then open the executable file inside it.

On Windows:

  1. Download Memespector-GUI-win64.zip (In case the win64 version does not work on your computer, download the win32 version instead)
  2. Unzip the zip file
  3. Open the Memespector-GUI-win* folder
  4. Open Memespector-GUI.exe
  5. If you see a window telling you that the app "might put your PC at risk", click More info. A Run anyway button will appear at the bottom of the window, click Run anyway. For details, see the first-run instructions.

On macOS:

  1. Download Memespector-GUI-macOS.zip
  2. Open the Memespector-GUI-macOS folder
  3. Open Memespector-GUI
  4. When you run Memespector-GUI for the first time, mac OS may ask if you are sure about opening the app. In this case, click Open. However, in some cases, mac OS will warn you that Memespector-GUI "cannot be opened" because "it is from an unidentified developer". In this case, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Open Anyway to allow Memespector-GUI to run. For details, see the first-run instructions.

Changelog

  • Version 0.2.5 Fixed a connection issue with Clarifai by force-upgrading the underlying gPRC library. Added support for two more Clarifai models.

  • Version 0.2.4 fixed a performance issue. Only the txt files added directly to the image sources box will be parsed as a list of image locations.
  • Version 0.2.3 supports adding text files containing image locations as Image Sources. Full image locations do not have to be shown in the Image Sources textbox to reduce memory usage.
  • Version 0.2.2 added the feature of regularly saving the API results to output files while the queue of images is being processed. The default auto-saving interval is 15 seconds. The interval value may be changed in the configuration file.

    4.1. Open System Preference of mac OS
    4.2. Open Security & Privacy and then open General
    4.3. Click Open Anyway on the right hand side of the message "Memespector-GUI was blocked from use ..."
    4.4. When you see a window asking that are you sure you want to open Memespector-GUI, click OK
    4.5 If you cannot see the window of Memespector-GUI opened, start over from step 2.
